Roy Melvin Rizor II Obituary First Posted: 2/20/2007 Lima ROY MELVIN RIZOR II, 35, died at 11:21 p.m. Feb. 16, 2007, at Lima Memorial Health System. He was born Sept, 21, 1971, in Lima, to Roy M. and Freda Spencer Rizor. His father preceded him in death. His mother and step-father, Dean E. Plaugher, survive in Lima. Mr. Rizor enjoyed participating in and watching baseball, football and basketball. He loved to play video games and have fun with family and friends. Most of all, he loved his Dodgers, Lakers, Steelers and the Penn State Nittany Lions with Papa Joe. He was a competitor and loved having fun. His heart and kindness was as big as life itself. He would always make sure that everyone around him was taken care of and was having a good time. Our “Roy Boy” was truly a great friend, brother son and dad. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him. Survivors also include a son, Branden Davis, of Lima; a daughter, Cassandra Rizor, of Lima; a brother, John M. Rizor, of Radcliff, Ky.; two half brothers, Joe (Donna) Rizor, of Lima, and Roy C. (Donna) Rizor, of Harrod; a sister, Ella M. (Bradley) Blythe, of Lima; two half sisters, Linda Rizor, of Florida, and Jawnie (Jim) Hale, of Lima; two stepbrothers, Ed Plaugher and Brian Plaugher; a stepsister, Jean Ann Hering; three special aunts Debbie Moyler, Tammie High and Tina Cuffy; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Rizor. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis Eastside Chapel. Pastor Forest Edward Jarrell will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
